At a high level, the below scenario reflects the maximum scope allowed for client revisions to content. This only applies to the level of engagement in which a content writer will be involved with revisions prior to publishing.
Initial Review
- Content writer sends draft to client, seeks approval to publish
- Client requests any necessary revisions
- Revisions are made to the content doc
Final Review
- Content writer sends final copy to client, requests final tweaks before publishing
- Client requests minor revisions
- Revisions are made
- Content is sent for publishing immediately thereafter
How content gets to the client:
- Content sent via Word Doc with track changes turned on by default.
- The content is sent to the client over email by the content writer
- Sales and account team MUST be copied on ALL communications to client.
How communication from client regarding content should be handled:
Sales and account team should make effort to own engagement with the client on any feedback they have, to whatever extent they are able to. This is critical in allowing the people doing the work, to have the time to actually do the work. This concept applies to any functional, back end role. Client management is very time consuming and it’s best to insulate ops team members from this whenever possible if they aren’t client-facing.
Calls can be arranged with content by client request, but appropriate expectations should be set by the account owners regarding how frequently / how short of notice these meetings can be setup.
